CITSIC is scientifically supported by an advisory board consisting of three University faculty members together with an equal number of alternate faculty members. One of its members, with its alternate, is selected by the Department of Computer Science. The advisory council is appointed by the Senate after a call for expressions of interest and the term of office of its members is two years, with the possibility of renewal. The composition of the advisory board must cover a wide range of subjects treated by the Foundation, the scientific and technological needs of the Center and serve the scientific and academic needs of its operation. The operation of the advisory board is coordinated by the Director of the Center.
