October 16: Campus Tournaments
We are happy to invite you to the sports event Campus Tournaments on Wednesday, October 16, from 16.00 to 18.00, at the University Sports Center in Voutes Campus! Erasmus students join the Greek and International Students of the University of Crete in a celebration of athleticism, camaraderie and unity! Campus tournaments are organized in the framework of the Erasmus Days 2024 and aim to promote the Olympic ideals of excellence, friendship, and respect, while fostering an environment of multiculturalism and inclusion.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a relay race, a 3-point shots competition, and try traditional Greek games and goalball, a paralympic team sport designed specifically for athletes with vision impairment.
Participation is free and open to all students of the University of Crete.
October 19: Heritage Marathon in Heraklion
Enjoy a guided tour of the Venetian Walls, offered by the Municipality of Heraklion. The city walls of Heraklion are one of the greatest fortification works in the Mediterranean, with a long and turbulent history. Together with a tour guide, we will learn about secret arcades, incredible battles, and other stories hidden in this magnificent monument.
